This product was being installed in areas of Long Island where water quality and bulkhead life is a concern.  The product A-Ply, is a proven outdoor composite formulation that when combined with wood results in a highly structural marine construction material. 

The combination of wood covered with composite material results in a bulkhead face that will not be attacked by worms, borers and other sea life.  It will also stop the leaching of chemical constituents into surface water from CCA treated bulkhead lumber.  Another main advantage is that A-Ply will improve the structural integrity of a bulkhead because each sheet is locked to the next with a strong tongue and groove connector.  This “stand alone” feature will not be found in competitive plastic bulkhead materials.

A-Ply is easy and fast to install!  There is NO CAP required.  No backing-board is needed and lag screws are eliminated.  No back-fill is needed for re-sheathing and the total advanced materials concept results in less labor.  The pleasing gray color and smooth flat finish adds to the beauty and appearance of a reconstructed bulkhead. The mating and flat tongue and groove sleeve installed over dimensional lumber allows the resheathed bulkhead to remain within 2 inches of the original surface across the entire face.  Corrugation is not necessary to provide structural integrity.
